We’re delighted to announce we’ve established an integration with one of the fastest-growing video captioning and transcription services. 3Play Media has developed an efficient captioning and transcription process that combines automatic speech recognition with human editing and cleanup.
What does this mean for MediaAMP customers? Once the integration is activated, you can order closed captions for any video in your MediaAMP account with just a few clicks. 3Play will create the appropriate caption file, insert it back into your MediaAMP collection, and closed captions will automatically display in your player window.

Closed captioning has become an important part of online video distribution—it’s a best practice that makes your video content accessible to a wider audience. In fact, the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) recently received an Emmy award for its standards work on accessible video captioning and subtitles.

Over the past decade, higher education has encountered a fundamental shift towards media-intensive and web-based learning environments, and MediaAMP was invented to address the University’s own internal needs to store, manage, and distribute digital content. MediaAMP secured such strong external customer and partner validation that a move out into the market was the next logical step.
